3D Rewind Rome™ is an interactive journey, packed with excitement and non stop surprises that transports you into the city’s past, where you are immersed in the hustle and bustle of Roman life, monumental sights and sounds of the time, as you take part in history as it unfolds.
An adventure in time offering the visual and sensorial context that provides a rich understanding of the magnificent archaeological sites of the Colosseum, Roman and Imperial Forums and other areas, as you walk around the city of Rome today.
All this is possible thanks to cutting-edge 3D technologies and digital animation, as well as special effects and set design that provide an extremely immersive and unique experience.
3D Rewind Rome™ offers pure entertainment, uniquely combined with academic attention to historical detail in the city's architecture, based on the University of California - Los Angeles reconstruction of the ancient city, and the more than 60,000 digitally constructed people: senators, noblemen and ladies, plebeians, foreigners, vestal virgins, slaves and gladiators, which once populated the city - its streets, temples, forums, Senate House and Colosseum, with costumes, props and décor breathing life into the experience.
Located at just 80 meters from the Colosseum, 3D Rewind Rome™ is a 30-minute interactive experience in 8 languages (English, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Mandarin and Japanese).
The project was developed and is managed by the Virtuality Group srl (Rome, Italy), with the patronage of the City of Rome. It is the first in a series of Rewind experiences planned for historical cities worldwide.
